Summit Seals — 12-Month Education Series
Welcome to the Power of Photography Club's 12-month education series: a year-long curriculum of focused topics and monthly photo challenges designed to help club members learn, practice, and earn merits. Each month features a learning topic plus a hands-on photo prompt; complete both to earn merits toward your Summit Seal badges.
And it's only $30 per year!

How it works:
Each month we publish an educational topic with resources and a short quiz or reflection to complete.
Alongside the topic is a photo challenge: submit an image following the prompt and write a short caption explaining your approach.
Members earn merits for completing the topic, for submitting a qualifying photo, and for bonus achievements (top photo, presenter, or community help).
Why the Pensacola Photography Club Power of Photography Monthly Photo Challenges Alone Are Worth the $30 Membership
If you’ve ever felt stuck creatively, unsure what to shoot next, or wanting more structure to grow your photography — you’re not alone. Many photographers struggle not because they lack talent, but because they lack consistent direction and accountability.
That’s exactly why the Power of Print Photography Club created its 12-month guided challenge program — and honestly, this benefit alone is worth the $30 monthly membership.

A Full Year of Creative Direction — Done For You
Instead of guessing what to practice, members follow a thoughtfully designed learning path that builds skill month by month:
Understanding Light
Composition Fundamentals
Aperture
Shutter Speed
ISO
Portrait Photography
Macro & Close-Up
Street Photography
Black & White Photography
Landscape & Nature
Creative Interpretation
Review & Portfolio Development
This isn’t random inspiration — it’s a structured roadmap that moves photographers from foundational skills into confident creative storytelling.

Weekly Challenges That Keep You Shooting
Let’s be honest — most photographers say they want to practice more, but life gets busy. The weekly challenges solve that.
Every week, members receive:
A focused creative prompt
Clear shooting direction
Technical goals tied to the monthly topic
A reason to pick up the camera again
Instead of scrolling for ideas or waiting for motivation, you simply follow the challenge and create.
Consistency like this is priceless — because growth only happens when you’re actively shooting.

Real Growth Without Expensive Workshops
Many photographers spend hundreds (sometimes thousands) on workshops hoping for improvement. But growth doesn’t come from one big event — it comes from steady, ongoing practice.
For $30 a month, members receive:
12 focused learning themes
48 guided photo challenges per year + 4 bonus topics
Continuous creative momentum
That’s less than the cost of a single lens filter or memory card — yet it provides an entire year of structured development.
Accountability Changes Everything
The biggest difference between photographers who improve and those who stay stuck is accountability. Knowing that a new challenge is waiting each week gives members a gentle push to keep creating — even when inspiration feels low.
And over time, those small weekly efforts turn into something powerful: a stronger portfolio, clearer artistic voice, and real confidence behind the camera.
More Than a Challenge — It’s a Creative Habit
The monthly challenge program isn’t just about assignments. It’s about building a sustainable creative habit.
By the end of the year, members don’t just have new images — they have new skills, deeper understanding, and a body of work that shows real progress.
And that transformation alone is worth far more than $30.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to take your photography seriously again, this is it.
Join the Power of Print Photography Club and let the challenges guide your next creative chapter — one week, one image, one breakthrough at a time.
January — Understanding Light
Kick off the new year with creativity and purpose through the Pensacola Photography Club January Monthly Challenge, Understanding Light.

This month is all about learning how light shapes emotion, depth, and storytelling in your images — starting with Week 1’s exploration of hard light vs. soft light, followed by discovering how the direction of light transforms a subject in Week 2. In Week 3, photographers will chase the magic of golden hour and blue hour, learning how natural color and timing elevate a photo, and the month wraps up with dramatic techniques in backlighting and silhouettes. Whether you’re a beginner building confidence or an experienced photographer refining your style, this challenge offers a hands-on way to grow your skills while connecting with fellow creatives along the coast.
